I had a blast at Ben & Nichola’s wedding held at the beautiful Rogerthorpe Manor Hotel on Friday.
A wonderful couple with lovely family and friends! Have a great honeymoon guys! 😀 It was great to work alongside Calper Photography for the first time too! 📷 I had the absolute pleasure of performing at Tom’s 21st Birthday Party at the The Potting Shed on Saturday night. I know you will have the best summer ever in America Tom!

It might just look like a pot of jam.......because it is.......but it’s also one of my favourite tricks to perform at the moment.
I got chance to perform it to all the brides and grooms at the Wedding fayres Yorkshire event at Hull Marina today. It was great to catch up with other quality suppliers such as Philip Broadbent Photography, Rebecca Robinson Photography, Silk Floral Art & Lee Mason Photography. My first Rogerthorpe Manor Wedding since the Wedding fayres Yorkshire Event here in February, and it was an awesome one! 😀
Good read! 📚
Some great stoic lessons.......although I’m still swearing at my iPad when it doesn’t work properly! 😳 Vires Acquirit Eundo (We Gather Strength As We Go) I had a great time hiking around Bishop Wilton this week. So many beautiful places on my doorstep I didn’t even know they were there! 😊 I am so guilty of that! Good job I have friends who know more than I do about great places to go and see. If I have a day off, I love going out and seeing a bit of nature. We were so lucky on Monday that the sun burnt off the fog and we could enjoy a hike in the glorious sunshine! 😀 ***Up Coming Dates***
Come and witness my magic at your table at the amazing Westwood Restaurant on the below dates: Sunday - 20th May Sunday - 10th June Sunday - 1st July Sunday - 29th July Sunday - 2nd September I can’t wait to see you there! 😀 Once again I will be at the Wedding fayres Yorkshire Event at Hull Marina this Sunday.
This is one of the last Wedding Fayres I will be attending this spring, so come and see the unique entertainment I can offer you for your wedding! ♠️♥️♣️♦️ Simon and Marie booked me as a last minute addition to their wedding at the impressive The Crown Spa Hotel in Scarborough.
The new additions to me repertoire that I’ve been working on over winter seemed to go down pretty well! On Sunday I returned, for the first time in 2018, to the amazing Westwood Restaurant. I love meeting new people, but it was even more satisfying to see some familiar faces and add a little magic to their Sunday afternoon 😀 As a wedding magician I get asked all the time: When is the best time to book a magician for on my wedding day?
In my experience there is not really a wrong or right answer to this question, as your guests will appreciate entertainment at any part of the day. A fantastic time to book a close-up magician is for the drinks reception after the ceremony and before the meal. This is such a good time to book wedding entertainment because the bride and groom are taken away to have photographs taken and are unable to mingle with their guests. Most of the time, when I arrive your guests will imagine that I am another guests. After I decide which group would be best to approach first I introduce myself and start performing. When the first group starts reacting you can feel the atmosphere of the room change, all the other guests want to know what’s going on. What caused those people to react like that?! I usually have some time to perform into the wedding breakfast and my priority is to show the top table some special magic routines that revolve around the bride and groom. This is my favourite part of the day and I love leaving the newly weds with a magical souvenir. An equally great time to book entertainment is for your evening reception. The beauty of this time of the wedding day is that your day and night guest will both be there and the magician will be able to entertain all of them. The night guests will really appreciate that you have taken them into consideration when booking entertainment. I really enjoy mingle with guests at an evening reception as generally they have had one or two beverages and they are up for having a laugh. One thing to note, I would suggest you don’t book a magician at the same time as a live band, as the magician will not be able to communicate with your guests very easily. I often get asked if the lull after the meal and before the evening reception is a good time to book wedding entertainment. The answer to this question depends on your venue. If your wedding venue is a hotel where most of your guests have booked a room then I would suggest you don’t book a magician after the meal as many guests will retire to their room to freshen up. However, if your venue does not have accommodation (e.g. a tipi wedding) then this is a great time to book entertainment as the guests will appreciate being astounded by a close-up magician before they dance the night away. I hope this helps and if you have any questions at all please just contact me via my website contact form or by emailing me at rich.reynolds@hotmail.com I look forward to helping you organise the perfect entertainment for your big day!
