I can't believe it's been a year! This week I have been reflecting on what I was doing this time last year (mainly because Facebook keeps telling me what I was up to). One year ago this week, I decided to try my hand at filming some street magic and after some initial nerves I was starting to find my feet. It was a little difficult because I didn't speak the native language but luckily most of the Asian people seemed to understand 'Yorkshire'. It is very pleasing to see how far my business has come in one year. Since returning home a lot has happened and I'm eager to see what the next twelve months has in store. Travelling and performing magic has allowed me to meet so many great people. There are friends who gave me the confidence to keep performing and friends who were patient enough to help me film some videos. After speaking this week to a friend who I met in Malaysia last year, I realised that she had no idea what a positive effect her enthusiasm had on me. So I thought I would take the time to thank all the people who have helped me in one way or another! Especially my cousin and his family who made me feel so at home while I was on the other side of the world. Below is a compilation of some of the videos I filmed while in Asia this time last year. I have re-edited it today (because I have a new iPad and I'm seizing any opportunity to have an excuse to use it). I don't get to backpack from city to city these days but I still get the opportunity to meet, and learn from, a variety of interesting people at parties, weddings and wedding fayres. Hope you like the video!
