Just after Christmas I heard that I might be flying to Switzerland to perform magic. Definitely the best news I have received so far in 2017! I knew it would be an amazing opportunity to catch up with friends, see a beautiful country for the first time and share my close-up magic with a new audience. The alarm sang at 3:30am. Normally I struggle to emerge from my bed at 7:30am but this was different, this time I was driving to the airport to start an adventure. After a slightly delayed flight I touched down in Zurich at 11:30am, greeted by my Swiss friends. First on the agenda was a tour of the gorgeous town Schaffhausen and a few Swiss beers. The next day saw me travel to a beautiful venue to perform for a group of special guests invited to the celebratory dinner. I was informed that the evening would consisted of FREE wine and beer for all! Naturally I expected this to lead to a messy group of drunken guests, however, it seems that the Swiss contingent are slightly more sensible than one might expect. The night was a resounding success. Thankfully this Yorkshire Magician still had time to see some of the breath taking sights Switzerland had to offer in the company of some great friends. After a final delicious Swiss beer in Zurich airport it was time to board the plane back home. Thank you to all my Swiss friends who showed me so much hospitality. Can't wait to visit again..........if you'll have me! Ha See the whole adventure condensed into 2:30 minutes below:
